What can clients
expect out of a training session with you? I will find out what their goals
are, and then design a workout and diet program fit for them. I push hard and
expect my clients to give me their best when they are with me – and that has
proved to get results!
What is your own greatest
physical or fitness-related accomplishment? I trained for and entered a
bikini fitness competition two years ago. I didn’t place, but I reached my
goals, stayed true to my diet and got down to eight percent body fat by
competition day!
What is the most
rewarding part about being a personal trainer? Seeing clients get excited
about the changes in their bodies and lives and helping people learn how to
live a healthy, active life.
What is your No. 1
piece of advice for people who have a fitness goal, whether it is to lose 10
pounds or complete an Ironman? Diet is everything. You can’t out-exercise
what goes into your mouth!
What is one
fitness-related misconception that drives you crazy? That women who lift
weights will get big, bulky muscles. The only
thing you can lift that makes you bulky is your fork!
What is your favorite
song/artist to workout to? Nicki Minaj or Pink
What is your favorite
pre-workout nutritional routine? I don’t really have one. I don’t eat
before I do cardio, but I do try and get a little bit of carbs in me before I
lift.
What is your favorite
post-workout recovery meal? A protein shake and/or a protein bar.
What is the one thing
you find yourself repeating over and over again to clients? When lifting,
good form is everything.
Is there anything
else you think sets you apart as a trainer?
I am a 46-year-old woman who has had two children. Yet, I am
in the best shape of my life. I work hard at keeping fit; it doesn’t just come
to me, but anybody can do what I do if they want it badly enough. I believe I am a living example to most women
– it is possible.
