Bellevue Club member Jennifer Spatz is heading to India this summer. She will visit the village of Stok in the Ladakh region of the country July 27-Aug. 10 for a cultural exchange and volunteer program. While there, Jennifer hopes to donate cameras to the Siddhartha School Project—the cameras will be used to teach digital storytelling as a way to foster cross-cultural understanding. Jennifer is working with the local organization Bridges to Understanding, whose website has more information about the use of digital storytelling for cross-cultural purposes.
If you have an old digital camera that has 5 or more megapixels (10 is ideal), visit Jennifer's website for information on how to contact her. You can also learn more about the Siddhartha School and the Ladakh region.
