BCST boys shine at state HS meet

Three state records were set by Bellevue Club Swim Team boys at the recent 2011 WIAA Boy's State High School Championships swim meet. In addition, BCST swimmers took eight wins home.

Highlights include Alec Barnard winning the 200 Free and 100 Fly (2A); Steve Sholdra winning the 500 Free (2A); Jimmy Deiparine winning the 100 Breast (3A); Ethan Hallowell winning the 200 Free and 100 Free (3A) and Ed Kim winning the 50 Free and 100 Free (4A).

Family Nights at the Club!


You know the drill. Enter the Club, then divide. One parent tries to finish up the workday’s tasks on a laptop in the Library. The other parent, after seeing one child off to Cheerleading Camp and the other to a swim lesson, attends a favorite yoga class.

We love seeing families in the Club. We also value families being able to spend time together. Enter Family Nights. These nights are designed to bring the entire family together for an evening of fun. Enjoy Bellevue Club favorites and build new traditions with us as we come together for monthly family-centered events. Here are some upcoming Family Nights:

Family Gym Night
Friday, April 1 and June 3
5:30-8 p.m.
Meet in the gym for bouncy house fun and classic gym games. All children must be accompanied
by at least one supervising adult.
$5/member

Family Game Night
Friday, March 4 and May 6
5:30-8 p.m.
Family teams will earn points for winning and participating in games and activities. Games will vary from “Minute To Win It” game show-style to classic Charades and Pictionary. Turn off your electronic gaming system and come play! Recommended for age 5 & up, but all are welcome. All children must be accompanied by at least one supervising adult.
$5/member

Family Float-In Movie Night
Friday, March 11 and April 22
8 p.m. show time
Bring the whole family to the indoor pool for a great family activity. We’re showing “Toy Story 2” on March 11 and “Toy Story 3” on April 22. Don’t forget to bring your floaties! All children must be accompanied by at least one supervising adult.
