Congratulations to Team Legacy, captained by Troy Chambers, our 2013 Champions of the Men’s Winter

The Championship game was a battle between Legacy and Team Belvedere in which Legacy started out with hot-shooting and never looked back. Legacy’s team was led by Jamie Booker’s 35 points on 11 three-pointers en route to a 126-86 victory.

Isaiah Cormier played well for Belvedere in the final, posting 30 points in a losing effort.

The Bellevue Club was well represented in Chattanooga, Tenn. Having originally won locally, our BC team won Regionals in Sun River, Ore. in August.

This past week, they represented the entire Northwest region in Chattanooga, Tenn. at the National Invitational tennis tournament. They beat Puerto Rico, the midwest team from Ohio and the southern team from Texas to gain a spot in the final four, where they beat Florida's best.

Their 4-0 National record propelled them into the Finals, where they ran into a buzz saw from South Carolina, losing 1-2 in a hard-fought battle.

There were nearly 24,000 mixed double participants a year ago with the final 500 invited to Chattanooga for the National Tournament. Your BC team finished second in the nation and in the final four-tenths of one percent of all players from all divisions.

Make sure if you see them at the Club to ask them about their lucky ice chest.

Men's Basketball Gives it Their All

By Kalin Walling, Basketball Coordinator

In early March, the Bellevue Club sent two teams to compete at PCAC, a regional Athletic Club Basketball Tournament. We battled against the WAC (Seattle), the MAC (Portland), The Olympic Club (San Francisco) and host Spokane Club.

Both of our teams showed tremendous grit and determination in playing against some very tough and talented teams. Thanks to the Spokane Club for putting on a fun-filled event!
