Under-eye puffiness and dark circles got you down?

The holidays—and the accompanying parties—are just around the corner. If you are worried about how your eyes look, or would just like to look your best, we might have some solutions for you.

Under-eye puffiness is caused by excess fluid left behind from a sluggish lymphatic system. Excess salt or alcohol can contribute to puffiness as well as seasonal allergies. As we head into the holiday season, know that there are several ways to stimulate the lymph and circulate it out from underneath the eye area. These include:
• Morning exercise: Aerobic activity increases circulation, including the lymph system. A morning cycling class at the Bellevue Club or a brisk walk around the block in the cool morning air may work wonders.
• Cucumber: Rest for 10 minutes with cucumber slices over your eyes. Cucumber contains an enzyme that tightens the skin and shrinks tissue.
Flash eye treatment: The Spa at the Bellevue Club's new treatment will help move lymph from the eye area with specific, gentle massage strokes. Topical collagen plumps fine lines and tightens skin.

Dark circles are often caused by dehydration—make sure you are drinking enough water! Chronic dark circles are the result of thinning eye tissue and leaking blood vessels under the skin. If dark circles are bothering you, try SkinCeuticals A.G.E. Eye Complex. It helps strengthen blood vessels under eyes with clinical-grade vitamin C. You can find this and many other SkinCeuticals products at The Spa at the Bellevue Club.
