Free education resource event coming to Meydenbauer Center

ParentMap, Seattle's premier resource for local parents and families, has put together a large array of education information, speakers and more Oct. 11 at Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue.

From 5-8 p.m., this free event includes more than 80 schools, learning specialists, tutors, extracurricular activities and more, with the goal of supporting families' education needs under one roof. Attendees can listen to speakers and enter to win a $2,500 tuition credit courtesy of Seattle Metropolitan Credit Union.

Speakers include Jackie Ferrado from Washington's Guaranteed Education Tuition program, speaking on funding your child's college education; Anoo Padte, an education coach speaking about finding the right elementary school; Sherry Catron-Burke from the Committee for Children speaking about tweens and our digital world; and Adie Simmons, Washington State Education Ombudsman speaking about positive school-family partnerships.
